The Sunshine Coast

© Margot Alais

Absolutely no lies or deception here, the Sunshine Coast rarely disappoints. In fact a long week of sun, surf and beach is exactly what most people come to the Sunshine Coast for. Staying in Noosa Heads, I had the privilege of an amazing loft style apartment up on the hills near the national park, and a short 2 minute walk to both Noosa Beach and Little Cove Beach.

We took our surf board over from Sydney, which ended up to be a bit of a hassle since it's a mini Mal and airlines have length restrictions on oversized items... But the great rides totally made up for it, and as the water and rays soaked into our skin, we took in our breathtaking view.

We also made a point of going to the surf shop to quiz the local surf enthusiasts about options for our next surfboard (I wanted a long Malibu, but unfortunately got overruled by my little brother). And how could we not take advantage of the paddle boarding available ?! Needless to say, my core and upper body got a rigorous workout, but the stand up paddle boarding was an awesome experience.

A couple of great restaurants, hang tens, beach trips and fresh fruit later, I find myself back in Sydney with a rekindled addiction to the beach and skin a couple of shades darker. So enjoy the happy snaps and take advantage of any slice of good weather.

Peace,
xx Margot Ana
