Paris, Je t'aime.

So I'm back in the City of Lights, this time with my little Australian travel companion (let's call her Bella, since that's her name), and it's been a while since I've visited around Christmas. I usually come up and visit in the Summer, but during the Winter, it is quite something. The cold air allows the warm aroma of baguettes and croissants to fill the atmosphere. The Christmas decorations line even the smallest of streets and weather becomes a gamble between a blue sky with crisp air or grey sky with chilling winds.

Luckily the weather has been kind to us and we were blessed with back to back days of blue sky and sunshine. The majority of our time has been spent in a studio in the 5ème arrondissement, a few blocks from the Louvre, Notre Dame, Musée D'Orsay and Saint-Germain.

Our usual routine goes somewhat like this:
-Café
-*insert tourist attraction*
- Café
-Relax at home
-Dinner
[and repeat]

Showing Bella's fresh eyes the sites of my hometown has been almost a treat in itself and sometimes I wish I too were discovering it for the first time. Also, a totally crazy thing happened whilst we were touring the inside of the Notre Dame cathedral, we bumped randomly into a friend of ours from Sydney ! We spent the rest of the day catching up and seeing Paris together, but the surprise of it all didn't really wear off until later on...Small world indeed, but always exciting to experience such a coincidence !

I've been keeping a travel journal as well as updating this blog and instagram (which has significantly more tourist oriented photos) so it's been hectic trying to balance my energy and keep up to date with everything.

Next stop, Aix en Provence to visit the family (the very large, very Mediterranean family...) and to celebrate Christmas.

Until next time, happy holidays,

xx Margot Ana

These women's bodies are so unbelievably beautiful,
definitely one of Bella and mine's favourites.
